The Buckeye Law Group, a dynamic and rapidly expanding personal injury firm, is actively seeking motivated and passionate attorneys to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our clients receive exceptional care and achieve outstanding results.

Overview of Responsibilities:

As an attorney specializing in personal injury matters, you will manage a diverse caseload while leading a dedicated team of paralegals and case managers to ensure timely processing and strict adherence to all legal deadlines. You will represent clients during negotiations, striving to secure the best possible outcomes for their personal injury claims.

Chief Responsibilities:

  • Medical case review.
  • Negotiating and settling cases in the pre-litigation stage or litigation stages.
  • Review policies, claims and other records.
  • Prepare, write, and argue legal documents, including but not limited to memos, theory of liability and demands.
  • Communicate with insurance companies and make sure client medical treatment is managed and billed accordingly.
  • Communicate with clients to provide case status update.
  • Conduct intake meetings with new clients.
  • Manage docket of cases according to office policy.
  • Conduct and attend IME’s, EUO’s and recorded statements.
  • Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Have experience in personal injury law of a minimum of 2 years.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and writing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate through both verbal and written electronic correspondence.
  • Demonstrate an ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently.

Licensure:

Must be currently licensed in the state of Ohio and in good standing.

 Role: In this role, you will see that our clients receive the best care and obtain excellent results. Attorneys are expected to meet with clients to discuss their case, show compassion and empathy, and demonstrate an ability to earn their trust, confidence, and respect. They will also update clients and communicate with insurance companies from time to time regarding the status of claims, demands, and offers.

 Chief Responsibilities:

  • Lead the litigation process for assigned cases.
  • Drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions.
  • Conduct depositions.
  • Manage all aspects of trial preparation including witness preparation, evidentiary analysis and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external experts.
  • Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

 Experience/Requirements:

  • Medical malpractice experience required minimum 5 yrs.
  • Strong proficiency in discovery practice with proven track record.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and writing skills.
  • Exceptional research and analytical writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and adeptness in trial preparation.
